The Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA) is a professional law enforcement association of elected sheriffs representing counties or parishes with 500,000 population or more and performs at least three of the following functions: full-service law enforcement agency, court services, detention function, or prisoner transport. Dedicated to preserving the highest integrity in law enforcement and corrections, MCSA works to promote effective best practices and identify the unique challenges facing elected sheriffs across the nation.
