Requirements for Model Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Reporting

This Joint Resolution deals with procedures involving the transfer of files between the insurance industry and the jurisdictions. The standard data format ANSI ASC X12 is used for the exchange of electronic insurance reporting information between entities where required. This Joint Recommendation also addresses reporting requirements, database load, core data elements, manual reporting, error handling, and best practices. The Appendix provides a glossary of terms. This joint recommendation facilitates interactive options when a jurisdiction requires reporting of automobile insurance information.
