NIEM 2.0 / 2.1 Conformant LEXS 3.1 / 4.0: Logical Entity eXchange Specifications
The Logical Entity eXchange Specifications (LEXS)
defines a common format in which information can be shared. The most
commonly used elements form the foundation
upon which practitioners can build
specialized extensions to suit individual
communities. LEXS 3.1 is based on NIEM 2.0.
The strategy for DOJs transformation is
expressed through the Law
Enforcement Information Sharing
Program (LEISP). This strategy is the
result of a collaborative process
involving senior leadership from DOJ
component agencies and
representatives from across the national
law enforcement community.
Other Standards: LEXS 3.1 is based on NIEM 2.0.
LEXS 4.0 is based on NIEM 2.1.
