Law Enforcement National Data Exchange (N- DEx) Incident/Arrest Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD) v. 2.1.2 [Based on NIEM 2.0 and LEXS 3.1.4]
The purpose of the N-DEx 2.1.2 Incident/Arrest IEPD is to provide law enforcement agencies documentation that lists exchange specifications to be used for the exchange of criminal justice information that is complete, accurate, and timely. This release of the N-DEx IEPD is based on the NIEM IEPD Template Requirements document and contains written documentation, schemas, instance documents, style sheet, a mapping spreadsheet, and additional documentation. The data exchanged is considered to be SBU (Sensitive But Unclassified), LES (Law Enforcement Sensitive), or CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information.
The N-DEx IEPD will promote a standard for information sharing on a national level for law enforcement and criminal justice entities.
Other Standards: This standard reuses components from the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) version 2.0 and the Law Enforcement Information Sharing Program (LEISP) Exchange Specification (LEXS) version 3.1.4
